Al’s Flower Pouch

So Beautiful. So Simple.

Al’s Flower Pouch™ and Al’s Flower Pouch II have become a staple offering for many, many growers and garden centers around the world. And now, there’s Al’s Flower Pocket, an exciting addition to the Al’s Flower Pouch line that helps your customers spruce up the backyard quickly and easily.

We offer the original Al’s Flower Pouch, in recyclable (when clean) polyethylene, and Al’s Flower Pouch II, a degradable pouch that completely breaks down in a landfill and becomes nothing more than water and CO2. Since recycling is generally not available for a used flower pouch, this is the next best way to deal with it. The polyethylene has the same characteristics as in our regular pouch except that once it hits a landfill; it will be digested by micro-organisms and be gone in about 2 – 3 years.

Some said Al’s Flower Pouch would never work, while others said it would be a fad when Allen invented Al’s Flower Pouch in 1992. It’s one of the original vertical gardening systems when vertical gardening really wasn’t on the map yet. Today, we’ve sold millions of Al’s Flower Pouches, worldwide, and the demand remains strong.

Watch your profits increase as a grower and/or retailer! These are the original, time tested pouches that ensure the success you expect. The slits are pre-cut to save time, are spaced to maximize coverage, and are on one side of the bag for easy shipping. The handle is fused to increase strength over 11 mil so it will not stretch or become brittle.

Al's Flower Pouch Tree

For growers, it’s easy to produce beautiful flower pouches along the walls of the greenhouse.

Do you know that some growers produce over 10,000 finished flower pouches each spring season? That’s a nice piece of their business. But you don’t need to grow thousands of them. Many growers and retailers grow 100 to 500 per year and have done so for years, happy with the extra revenue generated from their otherwise unused walls in their greenhouse.

Al’s Flower Pouch and Al’s Flower Pouch II feature UV protection, and will withstand the sun for the entire growing season. As a grower, all you have to do is follow the simple growing instructions: fill them with slightly pre-moistened grower mix (like Fafard’s PV20 ) and plant the plugs through the pre-cut slits. Water daily. Hang Al’s Flower Pouch on your walls or gable ends and continue to water daily and feed with a soluble fertilizer each week. Use drip irrigation and they become virtually maintenance free while you grow them out. For easy filling, if you are doing 250 pouches or more, check out Al’s Hopper.

Al’s Flower Pouch can easily be shipped on their backs on racks to your garden center customers.
For garden centers, it’s a great retail item, often selling at prices that you can only dream about with hanging baskets, yet they remain a great value. Consumers love Al’s Flower Pouch. You can be creative with them and grow more unique varieties to command those higher prices, like fall mums, or ever bearing strawberries.
